Lola Chantrelle Mitchell is better known professionally as Gangsta Boo. The American rapper was best known as the group Three 6 Mafia’s second female member. She released her second album, Both Worlds *69, a few months before leaving the group or label in 2002, due to money conflicts and concerns with album promotion.

Her major works include Mafia, Stay Fly, Slob on My Nob, Half On a Sack, Late Night Tip, and Poppin’ My Collar.

The news of Lola’s untimely demise shook the world. People want to know how the hip-hop pioneer died and why she died.

Fox 13 Memphis broke the news of the rapper’s death. DJ Paul later announced the 43-year-old musician’s death on Instagram.

In terms of Gangsta Boo’s death, TMZ said that the Stay Fly singer died as a result of a narcotics overdose.

While Gangsta Boo’s brother is unharmed, witnesses to her death swear narcotics were found on her person, and a fentanyl-laced substance is suspected.

The Both Worlds *69 hitmaker shared a New Year’s Eve performance video to her Instagram less than 24 hours before her death.

The Late Night Tip rapper captioned the photo, “Some of the things I accomplished in 2022!” It was both enjoyable and fruitful.

Furthermore, in a recent interview with Billboard, Boo said that she was working on a new project called The BooPrint, which she wanted to debut in early 2023.

Gangsta Boo was born on August 7, 1979, in the Whitehaven neighborhood of Memphis, Tennessee.

She was raised in a middle-class family that later relocated to the hood after her mother and father divorced.

As a teenager, the late musician began her musical career.

In 1994, she became a member of the influential hardcore group Three 6 Mafia. After K-9, she was the only female member.

Mitchell was a member of Three 6 Mafia for eight years, appearing on their first five studio albums.

In the early 2000s, she departed the band.

Gangsta Boo, DJ Paul, Crunchy Black, Lord Infamous, and Koopsta Knicca created Da Mafia 6ix in 2013.

6ix Commandments was the debut mixtape from the new offshoot.

The debut mixtape was a big success upon its release in 2014, reaching number 34 on the Billboard Top R&B Album Chart.

Gangsta Boo also had a successful solo career.

Enquiring Minds, her debut album, was released in 1998 and peaked at No. 15 on the Billboard R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart and No. 46 on the Billboard 200.
