When he returned to the United States, Funkmaster Flex offered him to join the Big Dawg Pitbulls Crew, and he later became a Hot 97 mix show DJ.

Cipha also got the opportunity to deliver The Cipha Sounds Effect on Sirius Satellite Radio’s Shade 45 channel from 2004 until 2008.

Cipha was fired from Hot 97 after months of developing friction and less than 24 hours after criticizing management on a podcast about his departure as the afternoon show’s temporary presenter.
