Demarai Gray began his football career after joining Cadbury Athletic’s junior squads, as previously stated.

As an under-11, he entered the prestigious Birmingham Academy.

He demonstrated his worth while at the club.

As a result, in July 2012, the young soccer player was awarded a two-year scholarship.

Gray met Nathan Redmond, who had a significant influence on his young career while playing with the academy.
