On February 27, 2022, Fujii stated that he was diagnosed with Stage IV Stomach Cancer that has metastasized to his brain.

Fujii was hospitalized for numerous reasons while publicizing the details of his condition, and it was during this time that he discovered he had stomach cancer.

He also claimed that cancer spread from the stomach to the brain causing eye issues.
