Reyna grew up playing soccer and began his professional career in 2019 by playing with the United States’ youth teams, where he gained experience and improved his game.
Later that year, he moved to Germany and joined the academy of Borussia Dortmund. Where he astounded both the coach and his teammates with his play. He was promoted to the club’s first team a year later.
In January 2020, he made his professional and Bundesliga debuts. On his debut, he came on as a substitute in the 72nd minute against FC Augsburg, breaking the record and becoming the youngest American to play in the Bundesliga.
