Pele Madre Celeste Arantes was born on October 23, 1940, in Três Coraçes, to his parents, Minas Gerais and Celeste Arantes.

Minas Gerais was the Brazilian footballer Pelé’s father, mentor, and trainer.

Death and Obituary of Pele

Albert Einstein Hospital, where Pelé was being treated, issued a statement announcing his death from multiple organ failure. Later, his agent Joe Fraga verified the news to CBS News Radio.

According to the Daily Mail, Pele, the greatest football player of all time, will be laid to rest in his hometown of Santos, where he dazzled the world.

Pele’s final rites will be performed until 10 a.m. on Tuesday, January 3, when a march through the streets of Santos will take place.

Pele’s remains will be transported directly from Albert Einstein Hospital to Estádio Urbano Caldeira in Vila Belmiro at dawn when his casket will be placed in the center of the field.
