Rafael Reyes- Professional Career
Reyes began his career as a well-known musician.
Rafael’s first band was Baptism of Thieves, and his second was Vampire.
Following the dissolution of both bands, Rafael founded Prayers (under the alias Leafar Seyer) with Tijuana native Dave Parley.
His solo project is Nite Ritual.
Prayers’ debut album SD KILLWAVE was released in 2013, and it contained two videos: “From Dog to God,” filmed by Chuck Nastee alias Charles Christ, and “Ready to Bleed.”
Prayers released an EP named GOTHIC SUMMER in mid-2014, and they opened for Cult on their 2014 tour.
Rafael also directed the video for Prayers’ “Gothic Summer,” which won the Best Music Video award at the 2015 San Diego Film Festival.
The title tune of their first EP, “Gothic Summer,” was released in May of 2014.
Gavin Filipiak, the video’s director, also won Best Editing in the music video category.
