In 2007, he made his television debut in an episode of the drama series “Hotel Babylon,” which was based on Imogen Edwards-Jones’ novel of the same name and aired on the BBC One network between 2006 and 2009. Taylor made his cinematic debut the following year in the jukebox musical romantic comedy film “Mamma Mia!” as Stag.

The film is directed by Phyllida Lloyd and is a remake of Catherine Johnson’s 1999 musical of the same name, which was based on ABBA’s songs.

By the end of the decade, he’d appeared in episodes of “The L Word” and “Material Girl,” and in 2009, he played Felix Fairfax in the short drama “Faith Alone.” Taylor also continued to act on stage, starring in plays such as “Danton’s Death” and “Duchess Of Malfi,” among others.
