 Tufts Bomb Threat Email stunned the collegiate community as many bomb threats were received during exam hours. According to Boston.com, multiple bomb threats included in an email forced evacuations at Tufts University in Medford, Massachusetts, on Wednesday afternoon.

Campus Police tweeted a few hours later that they had searched

the indicated buildings and locations but had found no evidence that the threat was genuine.

The threat was delivered through email to Boston.com and the University’s diversity office by an Unknown.

The mail incorrectly identified Unpacking Whiteness as a course

but said that it was a program offered by the Office of Diversity this fall.

Following a bomb threat, multiple campus buildings were evacuated

Wednesday afternoon, including Ballou Hall, Miller Hall, and the Campus Center.

An hour later, the all-clear was given, and people were allowed back into the building.

The senders claimed they detonated the explosives in response to the University’s “anti-white propaganda.”

The warning comes two months after

the same show was attacked in the Daily Mail for being “woke” and discriminatory toward white people.

The would-be bombers’ email read, “Tufts University continues to foster anti-white hatred.”

“This is dividing our nation, and we are fucking sick of crap shit,” one individual stated.

The suspected bombings occurred at the campus center, the president’s office in Ballou Hall, Miller Hall, and the

Rainbow Steps, a rainbow-colored stairway below the residential quad has become a prominent symbol of support for LGBTQ+ rights.

Tufts University has “resumed regular operations” after receiving a second bomb threat in as many days,

forcing the closure of parts of its Medford/Somerville campus and the online administration of this semester’s final exams.

Tufts announced Thursday afternoon that, in order to minimize disruptions to tests,

it will postpone anything scheduled after midday on Thursday, and that any remaining exams will be done online during this time.

Professors will meet with students to discuss their individual strategies.

All libraries, laboratories, and cafeteria services will be available as usual, and campus operations will restart.

Just after 3:30 p.m., authorities issued a warning,

instructing everyone in Ballou Hall, Miller Hall, or Mayer Campus Center to leave immediately.

At 5 p.m., police issued another alert to ensure the places were safe.

Campus Police recommended the general public to avoid the area.

Packard Avenue is lined by three evacuated buildings.

Tufts University officials confirmed the threat, and the university’s official Twitter account issued a statement just after 4 p.m.

Individuals can seek safety at the Aidekman Arts Center, 40 Talbot Avenue,

or the Joyce Cummings Center, 177 College Avenue, according to a tweet from Tufts University.

According to the University, the threat was deleted at 1:13 p.m., although the situation is still being investigated.

A University official declined to comment on the nature or manner of the threat due to an ongoing Police investigation.
