Wander Franco’s Professional Career

Wander began his professional baseball career in the minor leagues. On July 2, 2017, he signed his first professional contract with the Tampa Bay Rays, and he made his professional debut against the Princeton Rays in 2018.

Franco batted.374/.445/.636 in 245 plate appearances for the Princeton Rays on July 14, 2018, when he was just 17 years old, hitting 11 home runs, 57 runs, and driving in 57 runs.

Franco was promoted to the Charlotte Stone Crabs on June 25, 2019, and concluded the season with a.327/.398/.487 batting line, nine home runs, and 53 RBIs.
